Tori Spelling is already in her 2nd trimester, got pregnant 6 weeks after giving birth

Tori Spelling

These are photos of Tori Spelling outside of the Today Show this morning, where she seems to be showing off her baby bump. Less than two weeks ago, Tori Spelling announced her fourth pregnancy. She just gave birth to daughter Hattie back on October 10, 2011, five months ago. I assumed that Tori was announcing her pregnancy a little bit early, but NO. As it turns out, Tori is already into her second trimester. As Tori explains in a new interview with Access Hollywood, she got pregnant when Hattie was only a month and a half old. *counts on fingers*

Tori says that she was being hospitalized for a migraine and while in the hospital, the nurses made her take a pregnancy test just out of standard caution: “I had chronic migraines and I was in the emergency room getting treated for one of my migraines and when I got there they said, ‘Before we can treat you, you have to do the pee in the cup.’ And I said, ‘Oh, don’t worry I’m not pregnant. I just had a baby a month ago.’ And they (said), ‘Sorry, it’s policy at the hospital.’ So I did it, and they came back and said, ‘You’re pregnant!’ And I said, ‘That can’t be!'” When Tori and Dean learned that they were expecting again, Tori says, “Dean and I kind of sat there in shock for a while and then we said, ‘Well, we wanted four!’ This is when our miracle wanted to come… so we’ll take it.”

You know what I keep thinking about? The huge, hideous DENT in Tori’s breast. Some claim it has to do with a “drift” in her implant or something. I just keep thinking about Tori’s sketchy bolt-ons, the dent, breastfeeding and all of these pregnancies. I know, I know. Totally gross. But I’m fixated on it.

    She is one ugly lady.

    • Elizabeth says:

I like Tori because she was raised a rich girl but learned how to hustle for a buck after her father died and left her with almost no money. Well, someone has to support the family, so you go girl! But she is looking very unattractive in these photos. I keep thinking she would look better if she would just go with her natural looks – i.e. hair colour, etc. Maybe she’s just tired from having a new baby?

    • lflips says:

That is so harsh. You can’t control the way you look when you’re born. She’s doing the best she can with the cards she was dealt.

      • Ugo says:

Nothing harsh about telling it like it is. Tori is ugly! These people put themselves out there. They should expect some negative comments. She apparently tried to “control” her looks with bad PS. Only uglified her more.

      • Deedee says:

I would agree with you if this was natural but it’s not. She’s had a lot of work done. Tori’s never been a stunner but I used to think she had a unique look that made her pretty in her 90210 days.

    • Umlaut says:

      That was way harsh, Tai.

Not everyone is blessed with lovely features.

    • merc says:

I’m enjoying all the “that’s rude” “that’s harsh” “she’s doing the best with what she’s been given” and “stop being so bitchy” type of comments. I hope you all remember that when other actresses are getting shredded for their appearance or being called “slut” and “fameho” on comparatively flimsy evidence.

Facts: She is a trust funder (her father did NOT leave her penniless) who has had ample plastic surgery and got jobs because of her family connections. She cheated on her husband and he left his wife and child to be with her. They don’t really do anything to merit their fame except exploit their personal life and kids for a buck. And yet… =

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

I’m sorry-am I missing something? Did Tori Spelling pee in your Cheerios? Taking it all a bit too personally aren’t we?

      • merc says:

No, but she has done all the things I’ve mentioned, and others have been pilloried for much less. But I’m sorry if I offended anyone.

      • Leticia says:

        merc, I agree with u.

      • Happy21 says:

I agree with you. She IS a home wrecker. She is just as bad as Leann Rimes & Eddie whasis…

        And she IS ugly 🙂

And her breast implants have always been ugly too 🙂

Sorry, I don’t feel much for her and have to say what I feel.

      • Umlaut says:

I don’t really know that much about her as a person. I’ve never watched her shows or read her books. She sounds like she’s done some sleazy stuff and I’m not defending that.

But I think it’s one thing to laugh at someone’s outfit or criticize their antics; it’s another to be nasty about things they can’t change. From the plastic surgery she’s gotten, I’d expect that Tori is very insecure — especially living in Hollywood. It is cruel to mock her looks.

I’m not a conventionally attractive person, and though I am very fit, have a sense of humor, and try to dress nicely, I cringe to think that someone might be making those kinds of comments about me. Criticize her behavior all you want, but seriously, lay off her appearance.

    • Yes, I'm that Leah says:

True. I’ll never understand how women that look this way stay winning.

    • one hung dude says:

to call this woman a dog is an insult to the dog and she keeps breeding.

  2. marie says:

question (I’ve never been pregnant so I wouldn’t know) but doesn’t your doctor put you on birth control after giving birth? My aunt had 3 kids within 3-31/2 yrs and by the time the youngest was born, she had no fingernails or skin behind her ears.. this isn’t healthy right? I’m just wondering..

    • irishserra says:

I don’t know if that’s standard. I was never put on birth control, but then I don’t handle birth control very well. However, my sister WAS on birth control when she got pregnant with her second child, six weeks after her first was born.

    • Agnes says:

yeah, it’s not supposed to be healthy for you or the baby – your body is exhausted and “depleted” of everything. and now there is a study out that shows you should not get pregnant for at least a year because otherwise your risk of having a baby with autism increase. but i am sure the exact details would depend from doctor to doctor and patient to patient.

    • Jess says:

If you want to be on birth control after the 6 weeks of abstaining from sex, then yes, the Dr. will fit an IUD, write a prescription for whatever pill, patch or ring or implant you desire. Women still have a choice you know…

      • marie says:

I honestly didn’t mean anything by my question, other than wanting information. Like I said, I’ve never been pregnant. and thank you to everybody for helping to clear it up for me..

      • Jess says:

I’m actually having a pretty raging PMS so I’m sorry to come off so abrasive. That was rude of me…

      • marie says:

no worries, I thought I might have offended you, which was not what I was going for at all..

    • Lucinda says:

Birth control is given only if you ask usually. The doctors also usually recommend no sex for 3-6 weeks after the pregnancy so your body can heal from delivery. I don’t think two pregnancies on top of each other is as big a deal as multiple pregnancies. Of course i’m biased; my kids are only 17 months apart by choice. My second pregnancy was actually easier than the first in a lot of way. It probably isn’t the best plan though if you want to have lots of kids.

      • irishserra says:

That’s interesting. My sister experienced similar. Pregnancy No.2 was much easier. She gained very little weight, was much more active (She was one her daily walk when she went into labor), and the delivery was so quick and easy, she didn’t even ask for an epidural. Did you/do you find the recouping process difficult?

    • Have 3 says:

Can’t go back on the pill if you are nursing… but nursing is supposed to “lessen” the chance of conception. I know we didn’t take the risk!

      • Jess says:

That’s not true. My Dr.s said low-hormone pills have not been found to affect the baby detrimentally. I personally wanted to be artificially hormone free while nursing my babies (18 months a piece) and so was fitted with a copper coil IUD called paragard.

Hormones are naturally occurring and will pass to the baby via breast milk regardless of their nature of origin.

      • Kat says:

Not true. You can nurse and be on the mini- pill. I am doing it,

      • fabgrrl says:

I too did the low dosage pill while nursing #1. I felt like it negatively affected my milk production. Went with the IUD after #2.

    • StaceyP says:

I want to know who has the energy to even have sex? New baby and all.

    • jenna says:

You can ask for it, but you won’t just automatically be forced to take it. “Choice” works both ways, you know?

    • the original bellaluna says:

I was put on BC pills IMMEDIATELY after my first child’s birth (I was still in the hospital) because, during the course of tests during pregnancy, it was discovered that my German Measles vaccines hadn’t “taken,” and they re-immunized me almost immediately after delivery. (And I was nursing.)

After my last child was born, my OBGYN prescribed a single-hormone, low-dose pill that was the ONLY pill she prescribed to nursing mothers.

    • ol cranky says:

no doctors do not routinely put you on birth control after having a baby. You’re usually told not to have sex for about 8 weeks post delivery and are supposed to get your gyn to clear you for sex (especially if you’ve had stitches), so maybe she was cleared at 6 weeks.

In the old days, people used to think that breastfeeding acted as some form of natural contraception. IDKY but I think a lot of “irish twins” resulted from that belief

      • Anodyne says:

It is a strange thing that varies from woman to woman. I personally did not ovulate until I finished breastfeeding at 15 months for each of my two children. (SO NICE to not have a period!!!) I didnt take a chance though and used backup birth control. My MIL had 4 in a row under the breastfeeding makes it safe assumption but was happy to have all of them. Depends entirely on the woman and her own set of hormones.

    • Mrs. Odie 2 says:

Your dr asks you what you want to do about birth control and gives you the okay for sex at the six week postpartum check up. Tori must have assumed breastfeeding would be all she needed. Often it is, but some women are super fertile. The fact that she felt like having sex six weeks after her third birth should have tipped her off she was ovulating. What a shock! I hope it’s a boy. Tori would look better with a different hair color. I hate that brassy blonde.

  3. Agnes says:

holy crap, that must be insanely hard on one’s body to get pregnant so close to giving birth.

love the purple dress (minus the belt).

  4. irishserra says:

My sister just went through the same thing. She had a baby less than three weeks ago, and she got pregnant with her baby six weeks after giving birth to her first child. It was funny because she ran her mouth and made fun of her sister-in-law over doing the same before her. Whoops!

  5. almond says:

Doesn’t the body need a period of a year or so to recover from the pregnancy? At least that’s how I understood it.

    • Lucinda says:

I imagine it would vary. If you start out really healthy (prenatals, etc.) you probably don’t need to wait a year. Lots of people don’t. But if your pregnancy is really hard, than you probably need more time to recover.

    • the original bellaluna says:

My OBGYN told me “We’ll discuss it next year, after your exam.”

    • fabgrrl says:

I’ve always heard that you should give your body one year between pregnancies. On the other hand, your uterus remains enlarged for about two years after giving birth, which is beneficial for your next pregnancy.

      • Sara says:

My doctor told me wait at lest TWO years between kids.

I don’t think I could go through back to back pregnancies but my first was difficult and painful so maybe that’s just me. I feel sorry for Tory and her poor body!

  6. Diana says:

Wow! so many babies. I don’t know how she does it. The very idea of only one scares the crap out of me and she having another after only five weeks! Wow indeed.

  7. bee says:

I watched Tori Spelling on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live last night and she was awful. Tori is not engaging at all.

  8. hillbillygirl45 says:

Congratulations? I think…She’s a better woman than me. But, if they don’t slow down a little bit, Dean will be able to hear an echo up in there….if he ain’t careful. Just sayin’….

    • Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

If Orpheus and Eurydice had devised some kind of antiphonal system between them while scaling those heights, things might have ended differently for them.

The dent surely would have made them lose their footing, though.

      • hillbillygirl45 says:

LMAO!! Now I gotta question, probably a stupid one, what about stitches (or whatever)? That would hurt worse than when I was a virgin….

      • Jillian says:

@Hillbillygirl45: I had a 4th degree tear after giving birth (meaning I ripped from my vagina clear down to my rectum) and yes, it did hurt pretty damn bad the first time we had sex after. I waited 8 or 9 wks and it was very painful for months afterward.

      • ol cranky says:

@hillbillygirl – if she still had stitches she was actually putting her husband at some pretty significant risk by having sex with him (can you imaging stitches cutting through his highly vascularized best friend that was, umm, extremely well perfused?)

      • It is ME!! says:

Jo ‘Mama’, anyone who references Orpheus and Eurydice in a Tori Spelling post (or any celebrity post for that matter) wins my heart. I think I have a girl crush on you.

How many people here actually KNOW who Orpheus and Eurydice are?

@Jillian: I had a similar tear (my vaginal opening and rectum were one (lol), but they didn’t tell me I had a 4th degree tear. And sex after 6 weeks was fine. Maybe I didn’t tear as bad as you did. And ol cranky, the stitches they used on me weren’t the traditional kind. They used the ones that dissolve. I gave birth in Germany, though, so I don’t know what they would have used in the States.

    • hillbillygirl45 says:

@Jillian Thanks for answering! I’ve given birth, but, having sex was the LAST thing on my mind. I made my late husband wait FOREVA!! And then some. Like I said, She’s a better woman than me…

  9. lola says:

Calling bullshit. The first thing they told us in parenting class is NO SEX FOR 6 weeks b/c your cervix takes that long to dial back down. If he ejaculates it’s basically akin to inviting 8 billion sperm in to do what 1 normally has to fight for. The whole “hot dog down a hall way” syndrome.

They have how many kids now, and hadn’t heard this info by now???? Yea, that’s what I thought.

    Bullshit says I.

In other news, they cannot put you on BC until after the 6 weeks b/c you need to heal your body and the hormones mess with that. So basically you play in that zone you run the risk of being pregnant. Period (har har).

In other news, my baby is due in zero point five and counting. And once he’s out daddy and I are going to focus on “other menu items” since DUR, we actually listened to our child care classes.

    • Zelda says:

You call bullsh-t? How? She got pregnent in the first six weeks. And there really only one way that could have happened. Which is what she is telling people. What is bullshit?

    • Ange says:

Well I mean it happens, sometimes your body recovers quick enough for sex and… well… boom.

My brothers are 14 months apart.

One of my friends had two babies in a year. Yep, a year. The first one had his first birthday the week after the second one was born. She had the advice and all the tools at hand but sometimes these things happen. I don’t think it was the best for her personally, on the rare occasions I’ve seen her since she’s looked pretty tired and rough but she doesn’t complain and loves her boys to death so good on her.

  10. Jayna says:

I would be in a state of depression for a while thinking of my body going through all that and the poor third child will be short-changed as the fourth will take a lot of attention away from her. But growing up they will be playmates.

  11. lucy2 says:

Yikes. That’s got to be hard on a body!

Why does she insist on the white blonde hair? It is not a good color for her.

  12. dorothy says:

Good lord. Whose even thinking about sex with a new baby and 2 small children running around??

    • DeltaJuliet says:

THANK YOU! LOL I have two kids (almost 9 and 2 1/2) and I can barely get around to it. I certainly wasn’t in a big rush right after giving birth!

  13. Me says:

What a bunch of bitchtastic comments.

    • Mr. Stinky FishFace says:

Exactly! My kids are coined “Irish Twins (basically they are calling any thing less than 18 months apart that now…mine are 15months)

If she’s happy, let her be happy, but I will say it is one of the most challenging things I’ve ever dealt with. My second pregnancy was wrought with complications due to not having enough nutrients left over from the first pregnancy. I spent over 10 weeks on strict bed rest from preterm labor from my body basically giving out from the stress.

I really wish her the best because its not going to be easy!

    • Jess says:

Right?! Even I feel like I came across as bitchy…are we all on our period?

      I am ;/

    • Sandra says:

      Totally bitchtastic!

  14. Chatcat says:

My husband and his sis are 11 months apart…he Jan 15 and she Dec 30 of the same year and are the youngest of 6…yes Irish twins in an Irish family. Plus they’ve got the money so they’ll be fine and have lots of paid help.

  15. Kel says:

If she can handle it, good for her. And her body looks great for someone who has a five-month-old baby and another one on the way.

  16. deb says:

her eyes! so white! whiter than her teeth even!
so envious. mine are like really gross. 🙁

  17. tia says:

GROSS.. wth people?? Take care of your new baby and calm down and dont be selfish.. yuck..

  18. Dibba says:

    She’s gross

  19. mymy says:

I have siblings that are 11 months apart. My mom didn’t breastfeed so I can understand it happening. And she was really young. Did Tory not breastfeed?
I guess it is better than working real hard to get your figure back and then do it again.I breastfed and did not get my period for 10 months. But I will add after giving birth I was not about to get pregnant again. I would have been so darn unhappy. Pregnancy and birth is hard as far as I can say.No thank you

    • Umlaut says:

Exclusive breastfeeding works for about 75% of women, but not the rest. I have several friends who were fertile three or four weeks after giving birth.

Fertility suppression has varied for me from five to eleven months, although I’ve known women who had eighteen months!

I prefer more space between my kids, but it’s really lovely to see siblings close in age who enjoy playing together.

      • TheOriginalTiffany says:

I’m not one of them. First time, I got pregnant while on the pill. Second time exclusively BFing. Go figure. At least I did it all at once and my kids have each other to hang out together.

    • the original bellaluna says:

You are awesomely lucky! I nursed all 3 of mine, and I got my period 6 weeks to the day after delivery with all but the youngest. With him, I had 5 months of freedom, bless him! 🙂

  20. anonymoose says:

This dress is a great choice for her: flattering fit, pretty color, and covers up the oddly shaped bosom. Drapes elegantly over her protruding womb. I don’t care for the severe hair (color and ‘do), but give her a “well-played.” Weren’t her previous pregnancies life-threatening to her? I wish them well (and to take precautions to prevent future pindrop pregnancies!)

  21. mel2 says:

When women say “I cant be pregnant”, Pluzee, anytime you have sex and are fertile you have a greater chance of becoming pregnant. It doesnt matter if you have just given birth.

    • deehunny says:

Definitely. Plus, my sister’s doctor told her that you are actually more likely to get pregnant 3 months after having a child because of hormones and a “favorable uterus,” whatever that means

  22. Jackie says:

brutal. she looks like hell. no wonder she gets migraines all the time. maybe she needs to slow everything down.

although, that douchebag husband of hers probably would not be happy if she turned him down for sex.

  23. Baylor says:

I think all of Tori’s births were C-sections. However, you are still suppossed to wait 6 weeks after delivery to resume intercourse. Tori has nanny’s and baby nurses so yeah, she probably has more time than the average new mommy.

You know Tori had said that they wanted four and were going to do sperm spinning to get an even amount of boys/girls. Also, being that she is 38, I have my suspicions.

  24. Amanda G says:

What’s with the “she’s gross” comments? Obviously she and Dean are passionate about each other and are happily married. How is that gross?

I thought the whole “chest issue” was solved? Isn’t it something she was born with and has no control over? When I found that out I stopped being snarky about her breasts… Her face is another story though! 😉

  25. hopperlea says:

Quit being b*tches people and just be happy for them!

    Tori looks great.

    • Tillie says:

      AMEN!

    • Umlaut says:

Thank you! People are so nasty when a couple has more than two kids.

And ladies, not to divulge too much here, but, um…some of us feel more randy when we’re breastfeeding. I think my husband starts running a countdown clock to six weeks after I deliver 😉

  26. the original bellaluna says:

Irish twins! My cousins are Irish twins, 12 months apart or a few weeks less.

I hope she has a really good doctor (though there’s no telling about her taste in doctors – see: her plastic surgeries) and her body is able to handle the stress.

4 kids under the age of 5? No, thanks!

And let us not forget (as Dean has) that he has 3 children with his previous wife.

    • Tillie says:

Not true.. He has 1 son with his ex-wife.

They were planning to adopt another child, when he and his wife split. She then adopted the girl alone.

      • the original bellaluna says:

They were already in the process of adopting the child, and she proceeded without him, a la Sandra Bullock.

My bad on the number though; could have sworn they had 2 together.

  27. Jennifer says:

Yes, you can get pregnant while breastfeeding, and even before you get your period back. My friend got pregnant that way.

The big worry with this pregnancy is obviously, your body is tired out after giving birth. But also, all of her kids were born via c-section, right? So, they basically have to cut your uterus open (I know, TMI) and stitch it back up again. Drs recommend time for the scar to heal up before getting pregnant again (about 1 year I was told) as there is a fear of future uterine rupture where the scar is. Plus, the more c-sections you’ve had, the more danger of rupture because of how many times the uterus has been compromised. I like Tori (hated her in the 90210 days, but she works and seems totally grounded in light of her family history and Hollywood job) and am honestly super scared for her. Wouldn’t be surprised if she’s put on bed rest this pregnancy.

    • the original bellaluna says:

I had no prior C-sections, and I still ended up with a uterine abruption (undiscovered until my ER C-section).

There’s also the issue of scar tissue after all those C-sections.

  28. Tillie says:

I just love her. Her show is the only ‘reality’ show I can bare.. I think she is so sweet and she has great kids and they’re all so cute.

I don’t understand why people are so judgemental about her and her family. If she and Dean believe this baby is a blessing, let them be. They at least can provide for their children en give them a decent and loving upbringing. That is all that matters. Wish them the best! 🙂

  29. LittleMissSunshine says:

You can’t always start birth control right after giving birth. I had a c-section, so I had to wait 3 months, because the pill increases the risk of blood clots. Also, if you breast feed, you can’t go on the regular pill, you have to take the mini-pill which can be less effective. That said, I can’t believe she was interested in sex less than 6 weeks after a c-section. I certainly wasn’t!

  30. Maria says:

i actually like her. Have seen her interviewd and she genuinely seems like a nice person. I do feel badly that she isn’t attractive…because one day, her hubbie will cheat…if he does it with you, he’ll do it to you..eventually…. I guess I shouldn’t be so negative but it seems pretty easy to call what eventually will happen in all Hollywood marriages.

  31. merc says:

I actually don’t like her. She doesn’t do anything but exploit her family for fame.

  32. jc126 says:

My crotch hurts just thinking about that, ha ha. She seems thrilled, so good for them.

  33. Suz says:

Clearly she is not concerned about dying her hair while pregnanat.

  34. the original bellaluna says:

All I know is, after labour and delivery of my first child, the LAST thing I wanted near me was a penis!

  35. Lady D says:

My mom got pregnant with me 6 weeks after my brother was born. The day I turned one my mother died, 8 months pregnant. Had she lived another month she would have had a pair of 1-year-old’s and a newborn. A month after that my brother would turn 2. She died (and the baby) about 20 minutes after she gave me my first birthday cake. Diagnosis was a ruptured spleen.

  36. Jayna says:

I resent the dent remarks on here in the past making fun of a deformity. My niece had the concave chest and had to have a very serious operation at twelve to put a metal bar in to expand her chestbone out. It was affecting her heart. The only real specialists are in a hospital in West Virginia where people fly to from all over the world. My niece’s is severe and she will never look completely normal. So maybe some of you grown women should take a look at your ugly comments. It’s a reflection on you. Talk about ugliness on the inside.

  37. Holden says:

Babies just walk out of there now…

    • Mrs. Odie 2 says:

She’s had c-sections. That kind of delivery doesn’t stretch out your birth canal. And it does go back. Maybe not to prebaby condition, but close enough.

  38. Pretty Kitty says:

I like her. It’s not like she’s popping out babies she can’t afford and going on welfare or anything :cough: octomom :cough:. I don’t Forsee her husband sticking around for much longer though, unfortunately.

  39. Newtsgal says:

Well, it looks like ol’ girl has found her calling… A BREEDER. Cuz, she can’t act for crap.
Maybe she’s just going Duggard style.

  40. misstrishm says:

I’ll be damned if I’m going to let my husband come near me after I’ve just had a baby. He’ll need to wait a lot longer then 6 weeks. But that’s just me.

  41. jenny says:

i was born may 86… my sister was born following march 87… crazy right?

  42. Darlene says:

I love her, I love her husband. They have a gorgeous family. She HUSTLES for her money. She has repaired her broken familial relationships and is living life on her terms. LOVE HER.

  43. Tara_Green says:

I work with high-risk families and their young children; one thing not being discussed is that this baby is at much higher risk for developing autism. Research has found that a child born within one year of an older sibling is three times more likely to develop an autism spectrum disorder. Why this is so is uncertain, but there is definite evidence of a connection. One theory relates to the mother’s body not getting sufficient time to recover her immune system. At least if this IS the case for this child, the Spelling family will have plenty of money for therapies. I see far too many children whose families cannot qualify for assistance nor afford therapies that would benefit their children.

I watched her during her 90210 days up till her recent Reality TV Show. Yes, She had plastic surgery. Inside and outside she is a beautiful woman. She has been through hell with her father and mother. She has stayed strong and found the love of her life.
Just because she met him when he was married doesn’t mean that he is going to get sick of her and leave her. I do admit that he is always horny but obviously so is she! Please don’t judge her looks and how many pregnancies she has had. They wanted 4 children and they can afford to have the babies. So shut up you wining bunch or criticizing women. They are both wonderful parents and spend a lot of time with them. She’s not pawning them off on a nanny/baby. nurse. Do you not watch Tori & Dean?
If you did you wouldn’t be so damn criticizing. Get a life people.
My boys are one year and 1 month apart. Did I plan it, NO! I had a hard second pregnancy..but I would not change anything. They are best friends (12 & 13). We are a happy loving family!

I don’t think that anyone who berates strangers for not watching a particular reality show is in any position to tell them to get a life.

Question: Can you breastfeed while having bolt-ons? Does it depend on the method of insertion?
